Opened on April 26, 2024, this new capybara exhibit is named after the Pantanal, the world’s largest tropical wetland, which spans an area roughly the size of Honshu, Japan. This vast and ecologically rich region is the natural habitat of capybaras, and our new exhibit aims to recreate this environment for you to experience.

In this newly opened area, named after the Pantanal—a "paradise for wildlife" known for its rich diversity - capybaras roam freely in a habitat that closely resembles this vast South American wetland.
In this lush area, where vegetation is dense and waterfalls cascade into expansive ponds, you can observe capybaras in various behaviors up close. Watch as they peek out from the water with just their eyes, ears, and nose visible, rest in the shade of trees, or playfully interact with their companions.
Come experience the capybaras living in the Pantanal of the Kingdom!
